This rare specimen is the Volvo 343 GLS R-Sport, in that time developed by the race-division of the Volvo Motorcompany. It uses the stock B19A engine with a few modifications: a modified cam and two double carburators. The engine now develops 123 bhp/6.000 rpm and 160 Nm/3.000 rpm instead of the original 95 bhp. Topspeed was around 185 km/h and it went from 0 - 100 km/h in 9,5 seconds, which was pretty fast for those days! They're pretty hard to find.
